On Wednesday, September 21, the Alberta Orff Chapter hosted a sold out make and take event at Crawford Plains School.

Once again over the summer, the University of Alberta offered Orff Levels I and II. The Alberta Orff Chapter was on hand with the lending library and with a reception after the Sharing Session.

On Saturday April 9th our membership were treated to a fantastic variety of presenters and ideas. Each session was focused on a different area of music pedagogy and contained a wealth of fully relevant and realized material.
On Saturday January 30th, 2016 we were treated to an energetic and impactful session with Tim Wiegand. Tim is an educator from Las Vegas and a self published author of a number of elementary music resources. The turnout for this workshop was fantastic and it was great to see some new faces in the crowd.

This past Wednesday teachers gathered to learn about the Ukulele from the Alberta Orff Chapter's own Andy Funke. Fundamentals and basic technique were discussed and opportunities to play abounded.
On Saturday October 3rd music teachers from across Northern Alberta (and even two from Calgary, thanks for joining us Liz and Heather!) gathered to learn from the talented Josie Burgess. This workshop was our first at our new location Elizabeth Finch and a big thanks goes out to Sarah Huisman and Karen Abrahamson for helping with everything.
Last Wednesday the 23rd Chapter members got together for this year's Make & Take. There were lots of goodies up for grabs and local members got to chat and network while assembling their materials.
on Wednesday, September 23 from 4:00pm-6:00pm, a members' only spectacular event will be taking place. Make & Take: 2016 will prove to be a lively and fun way to connect and network with other music teachers while making valuable tools for your year ahead.
