This past Wednesday teachers gathered to learn about the Ukulele from the Alberta Orff Chapter's own Andy Funke. Fundamentals and basic technique were discussed and opportunities to play abounded. One of the standout moments was the play along portion of the evening where some popular songs were played and possible applications in the classroom discussed. This workshop gave a fantastic introduction to the Ukulele for those new to the instrument, and a solid review for those with experience. Reminders to demonstrate using the best technique possible were very much appreciated with the addition of detailed explanations of what that looks like being helpful. All in all the evening was informative and engaging and most of all fun! Comments are closed.
