On Wednesday October 12th, 2016 teachers were once again treated to some time with the Ukulele. The afternoon started with two groups; one focused on beginners and the other for the more experienced players. Whatever group teachers were in they all seemed to have a wonderful time. For those with more experience Connie Ohlmann and Angie Lee had chosen some gems from the "Daily Ukulele" book to be played and many new favourites were discovered. Andy Funke led the beginners and shared his wisdom regarding getting started on the Ukulele. After a little while both groups came together and played some of the simpler 2 and 3 chord songs together. For this part of the workshop Andy had brought his Ukulele bass to play and what a cool experience to share. The whole workshop was a lot of fun and was a great way to ignite or reignite everyone's passion for such a versatile instrument. 4/13/2017 11:44:52 am
Playing the Ukulele is a fun and entertaining thought. I really enjoyed learning on how to play the Ukulele. It's not as easy as it looks. It's actually harder than what most people assume it to be. Most people think that it's just a smaller guitar and doesn't take that much time to master. However, some chords are quite harder to do than the guitar, since the instrument is a lot smaller and thinner. Comments are closed.
