On September 26, 2020, the Alberta Orff Chapter hosted a Question and Answer with Sherryl Sewepagahm based on the online resource created by the Sherryl and the Alberta Orff Chapter. Earlier in the summer, members of the Alberta Orff Chapter board and friends met at the Winspear Centre to record songs with notes by Sherryl Sewepagaham. Click the "read more" link! |
When it had become apparent that in-person workshops were going to have wait, members of the Alberta Orff Chapter scrambled to come up with something else that could support music teachers. That is where president Laurel Nikolai came up with the fantastic idea to film a series of songs with Sherryl to share with music teachers. As a result, a series of intricate slides complete with literature links, lesson plan suggestions, scores, and of course, recorded examples of many of Sherryl's songs was born! The September 26 Q and A session hosted via Zoom allowed for many great questions to be asked about the resource. |
